Gauge Pressure

Ashcroft^® gauge pressure transmitters' measure pressure in air, water, or other fluids and convert the pressure to an electrical signal. The output signal from the pressure transmitter is measured using the FlexSmart Analog Module, which also provides switched 12 Vdc excitation power to operate the transmitter. Each dual channel Analog Module can power and measure 1 or 2 pressure transmitters.

Typical applications include compressed air audits, monitoring of heating, cooling, refrigeration, and hydraulic systems, and all general-purpose industrial process applications.

We stock two Ashcroft models, the K1 series and the G2 series, in several popular ranges. These transmitters feature an integral 17-4 stainless steel diaphragm that can be used with any compatible fluid. The strain gauge bridge is virtually unaffected by shock, vibration or mounting position, which insures long-term accuracy. Full-scale output signals of 0 to 5 Vdc, 1 to 5 Vdc, and 4 to 20 mA are available depending on the model.

Ashcroft pressure transmitter performance is directly traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology and specifications are conservatively stated. The rated accuracy is the total error from all sources including non-linearity, hysteresis,
non-repeatabilty, and temperature error.

The K1 is available, in some ranges from stock, or in 25 ranges from the factory starting at 15 psig and running through 20,000 psig. Compound (vacuum and pressure) ranges are also available. Accuracy is ±1.0% of range and ±0.5% available on special order. The pressure connection is 1/4" NPT-M.

The G2 pressure transmitters are an OEM product that offers high performance at low cost. Other pressure ranges, besides the ranges that we stock, are only available for large quantity orders. Accuracy is ±1.0% of range and ±0.5% available on special order. The pressure connection is 1/4" NPT-M.
